Media Educator | Student | Specialist
Acacia is an aspiring media educator with a knack for public relations, social media management, and audio/film production. As a Graduate Teaching Associate and graduate student under San Diego State University’s School of Journalism and Media Studies, Acacia has the pleasure of leading two sections of JMS 210 (Social Media in the Digital Age) and JMS 494 (Media Law & Ethics). Through her time as a teacher, Acacia has valued her ability to connect with students and guiding them to their career goals. Additionally, she leads the media team as a Media Specialist for SDSU's Pre-College Institute, where she leads three programs' social media teams. She hopes to perfect her teaching skills in graduate school to maximize opportunities in teaching at the community college level as well as become a career coach for students interested in media studies.
